Why We Protest Scientology Wiki

This article is under construction and I have not yet written the part about worst abuse Paulette suffered, that can be found in the external links.

Paulette Cooper was a reporter working from Florida and New York, she has a degree in psychology and has studied comparative religion at Harvard. She started to expose wrongs done by the Church of Scientology before others had taken up the issue and Scientology attacked her hard, she refused to be intimidated and endured a quarter of a lifetime persecution. For 15 years Paulette stood virtually alone in trying to expose Scientology and the Scientologists persecuted her, they sued her repeatedly in different countries and accused her of things she would never do like perverted sex with her rabbi. Her relatives and neighbours got anonymous repulsive letters, she even was framed and arrested for crimes she had not done. Harassment was relentless during those 15 years.

Paulette Cooper lost most of her family in Auschwitz and after her early childhood in European orphanages was fortunately adopted and moved to the United States. This early experience of the harm tyranny causes left Paulette determined to expose tyranny in Scientology when she found out about it. She regretted that too few people spoke out against Hitler early on and decided to speak out against tyranny in Scientology despite knowing there would be a personal cost.
